When an acquaintance puts up picture on Facebook of herself holding her hair to her nose, and two of her friends standing by her looking up with their right arms raised and pointing at a 50-75 degree angle.
And the caption says “I am Hitlah. All hail Hitlah.”
And there are 27 likes.
And someone says “White power!”
And she explains “the guys just did that pose and I put on a mustache :P”
And I think all the people and comment-ers are API.

Additionally, social media are accurate representations of an individual’s nature. If you expect to take their representations jokingly, you deprive them the opportunity of self-representation.
